Beautiful Shannon Springs Park surrounds a spring-fed lake and features DA accessible walking paths, an agility course, tennis courts, a public swimming pool, picnic pavilions, amphitheater and community center. New in 2008, the City of Chickasha erected two Splash Pad parks; one in Shannon Springs Park and one in Washita Valley Park. Both of these fun water parks are free and open to the public. The Chickasha Lions Club sponsors the fenced playground facility.
Other parks in the community include Borden Park, Washita Valley Park, Richie Park, and Skate Park. Historic Shannon Springs Park boasts a full mile of paths where walkers and runners can exercise in a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.
The southern loop winds its way around the beauty of Shannon Springs Lake. The Northern loop provides users with exercise stations scattered along the trail for those interested in a total body workout. Currently under construction are the new walk-ways that will connect the USAO Campus and several of the area parks in a community walking trail system. Look for the completion of this new trail system in 2009.

Chickasha is a community that puts a great deal of emphasis on recreational activities for all our citizens, but we are especially focused on our youngest citizens. We believe they deserve every opportunity to play both independently and in team sports. In 2006, Chickasha residents proudly opened the Sports Complex for use for local residents and for tournaments. Located at the 900 block of East Grand Avenue, the sports complex consists of numerous soccer fields, playgrounds, ball fields and amenities.
